Emergency Travel certificate is usually issued to a Ghanaian national, who is not in possession of passport, but must travel to Ghana at a short notice or under an emergency situation. They are available for only single journey and valid for one (1) month. It cannot be used to return to Angola.
- Duly Completed application form
- Proof of Nationality – Copy of Passport bio-data page, Birth Certificate, Baptismal or any Ghanaian Identity card.
- Two (2) Passport-size photographs, taken not more than three (3) months from application date.
- A valid travel ticket
- A Police Report indicating loss of passport
- Applicant to be personally present
- A processing fee of 21,000kz is charged.
Ghanaians who are resident in Angola, Sao Tome and Principe and Madagascar should at the earliest opportunity register their names and addresses at the Embassy of Ghana in Luanda. Failure to do so may in a period of emergency result in difficulty or delay in according them assistance and protection of which they are entitled. Changes of address or departure from the above-mentioned countries should also be notified to the Mission. Please download and complete the attached form.
Consular ID cards are available to Ghanaians resident in Angola. The application process takes five (5) business days at a cost of seven thousand and five hundred kwanza (7,500kz) and is valid for a period of five years.
Applicants are required to submit proof of Ghanaian citizenship such as birth certificate, passport, and voter’s Identity Card in addition to two passport pictures and complete an application form (click to download form).
